The business is responsible for the accuracy of the information on its menu. This page is for information only and is not legal advice. For details, see the official announcement (in Turkish).
You need to show ingredient information by 31 December 2026 and calorie information by 31 December 2027. Allergen information is already required under the existing regulation. Preparing everything at once is easier than reworking your menu twice.
The guide says the information can be provided on a menu, board, brochure, digital screen or via a QR code. If you use a QR code, you need to say so in a visible place and be able to provide the information separately to customers who can’t scan it. In Digidodo Menu, this notice is printed on table cards and the price list, and you can print all the information on a single A4 sheet.
The panel has a calorie calculator: choose the ingredients and amounts of an item, such as “1 patty” or “1 slice of cheddar”, and kcal and kJ are calculated. Standard recipes are ready for common items like burgers, pizza, pasta and coffee; you adjust them to your own recipe and approve. For packaged products, take the value from the product label.
On the Digital plan you enter it yourself. On the Professional and Premium plans our team enters ingredients, allergens and calories from your recipes; you provide, check and approve the information.
No. You can also put the information on your printed menu. But ingredients, allergens and calories for every item make a printed menu much longer, and every price or recipe change means reprinting. With a QR menu, the information is updated in one place.
Inspections are carried out by the provincial directorates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The business’s declaration is the basis, which means the business is responsible for the accuracy of the information on its menu. Follow your provincial directorate’s announcements for sanctions and current details.
No. The rule applies to mass catering venues where food is prepared and served, such as restaurants, cafes, hotel restaurants and canteens. The service menu you use for your hotel spa is not covered; the restaurant and bar are.
Let’s complete your ingredients, allergens and calories before the deadline.
